    2015 VRV University Recap

On April 8th we held our first “VRV University” here at the dealership from 7 to 9:00 PM. We presented topics such as manual slide operation, appliance trouble shooting and general maintenance in an open forum to approximately 150 new and seasoned RV enthusiasts.

During the Q & A segment attendees queried our in-house experts about how to deal with a variety of issues they had experienced. The evening was well attended and had great group participation as well. The following are some examples of the feedback we received:

It was very well presented and the interaction of all your departments and employees showed great teamwork. To see the employees give time from their families shows dedication and support to the evening as well. Thank you and look forward to continue dealing with your business in the future!! Awesome job last night!!!

Thanks. Loved it. More on accessories like water hook ups. Waste disposal equipment more on what is available and how to use it. How to deal with a flat tire on the trailer. I am a first time owner of a travel trailer and I have a lot of questions. Again thanks

Good session. Learned a few things. I was at the front and this was not a problem for me but suspect the speakers should use a wireless or corded mic to be better hear at the back. In the same manner it was sometimes impossible to hear some of the questions from the back. Maybe more actual devices like the propane transfer to show it switching between full and empty tanks would mean more when you have seen it versus talking about it?

Thank YOU for putting on this great evening of camping knowledge! We were actually surprised as well at the amount of people who attended. Besides learning a few things, having some questions verified, and being reminded of what we were shown when we purchased a new trailer, it was nice to know that some of the situations we have been through have been experienced by others – it’s not just us lol! You, the staff, at Village RV are exceptional – you all are confident in your areas of expertise, helpful, friendly. We are always greeted in a warm, friendly manner and no matter how “stupid” we feel our questions are, they are ALWAYS answered in a professional and non-condescending manner no matter how busy you all are, and you ARE busy! We want to thank you for all your years of excellent service! It was an enjoyable evening – just the right amount of time to be there as well – not too long, not too short and having a break was quite welcome. We were thinking a topic to discuss in future would be hitching and towing – we were unaware of some things like stabilizer bars and the braking system when we started out so sure others may be in the same mindframe. Otherwise, a great success!

We thank you for teaching all of us a little more about our summer and sometimes winter homes. Maybe if you put your tips and tricks into a booklet and added to it as we and you learned new things it would be helpful not only to new owners but for all of us. Thanks again to you and your staff for an excellent evening. Chris Simpson and Sue Knox, new Forest River Roo owners.

The seminar was excellent, very interesting. The presenters and the whole service crew being involved, did an very good job with the size of the audience. The material was all stuff that you do run into out on the camping trips. It was also an excellent opportunity to discuss so of the product that you provide. I know it takes a lot of work in doing this type of workshop, well worth it for everyone involved.
